Editable QR codes

QR codes that never expire, and that you can edit after printing.

If a QR code you printed suddenly stopped working, it almost certainly expired on someone’s free trial. NimbleQR is built the opposite way — codes you create keep redirecting forever, and you can change where they point anytime.

No credit card required. 3 codes free, forever.

Why QR codes stop working

There are two kinds of QR code, and the difference is the whole story.

A static code encodes your destination URL directly. It never expires on its own, but you can never change it, and it breaks the day that URL moves or the page comes down.

A dynamic code encodes a short link hosted by a provider, which forwards to your real destination. That’s what lets you edit it after printing. The catch: many providers disable that short link when a free trial or plan lapses, and then your printed code breaks. This is the number-one reason a working QR code suddenly stops working.

The never-break promise

This is the line we will not cross: every code you create keeps redirecting forever, even if you downgrade or cancel. A lapsed plan only stops you creating and editing new codes. It never touches what you’ve already printed. We will not hold your print runs hostage.

Frequently asked questions

Why did my QR code stop working?
Most likely it was a “dynamic” code made on a free trial or plan that expired. Many QR generators route the code through their own link, then disable that link when you stop paying. The printed code breaks even though nothing on it changed. NimbleQR never does this: existing codes keep redirecting forever.
Do QR codes expire?
A static QR code (one that encodes your URL directly) does not expire on its own, but you can never change where it points, and it breaks if that URL ever moves. A dynamic code routes through a provider, so whether it expires depends entirely on that provider’s policy. NimbleQR codes do not expire and are not disabled on downgrade or cancellation.
What is an editable QR code?
An editable (dynamic) QR code encodes a short link hosted by a provider instead of your final URL. The printed code never changes, but you can update the destination it forwards to anytime. That helps when the link behind it changes after printing.
Can I edit a QR code that is already printed?
Only if it’s a dynamic code. A static code is fixed forever. A dynamic code like NimbleQR’s lets you repoint the destination from your dashboard while the printed code stays identical.
